ベルリンのショップ『click & surr』から書籍『PROTOTYPE』（Jurgen Lossau著）が届きました
（写真1）。手元に届くのをとても楽しみにしていた。
試作機と言えば、ニコンの『サウンド8ミリカメラ（1977年）』や富士フィルムの『fujica rapid-8 P1（1964年）』＜2021年11月4日付記事＞、最近では（試作機とは認めたくはないが。。。）『Kodak Super 8 Camera（2016年）』や開発中止となった『Logmar GENTOO GS8（2022年）』などが有名です。
早速みてみましょう（写真2）。掲載内容をみてみると、上記以外にも当時多数のプロトタイプがあったことを今回知りました。いつもJurgen Lossau氏の取材力と情報量には圧倒されます。これらのカメラは、今見ても魅力的です。
私が注目したのは、富士フィルムの『PZ300（1973年）』（写真3）です。
液晶画面？を搭載し、シャッターボタンやメーター類は側面に配置、アルミ製らしきシルバーボディは、当時の8ミリカメラと比較して、かなり近未来的で独創的なデザインです。デザイナーは水川繁雄氏。
最近では「LEICA M6（2022年）」復刻版やペンタックスの「フィルムカメラプロジェクト」がスタートするなどの動きがあり、8ミリカメラのメーカーの皆さんも、この波に乗りましょう。
“Prototype” – 8mm camera that was not commercialized
The book “PROTOTYPE” (by Jurgen Lossau) has arrived from the shop “click & surr” in Berlin (Photo 1: “PROTOTYPE”). I was really looking forward to receiving it.
Speaking of prototypes, Nikon’s “Sound 8mm camera (1977)” and Fujifilm’s “fujica rapid-8 P1 (1964)” [article dated November 4, 2021],
Recently (I don’t want to admit it’s a prototype, but…) “Kodak Super 8 Camera (2016)” and the discontinued “Logmar GENTOO GS8 (2022)” are famous.
Let’s take a quick look (Photo 2). Looking at the contents of the publication, I learned that there were many prototypes at the time other than the above.
I am always overwhelmed by Mr. Jurgen Lossau’s ability to gather information and the amount of information he provides. These 8mm cameras are still attractive to look at today.
What caught my attention was Fujifilm’s “PZ300 (1973)” (Photo 3: FUJICA PZ300 mockup).
Does it have an LCD screen? , The shutter button and meters are placed on the side, and the aluminum-like silver body has a futuristic and original design compared to the 8mm cameras of the time. The designer is Shigeo Mizukawa.
Recently, there have been topics such as the reprint of the “LEICA M6 (2022)” and the start of Pentax’s “Film Camera Project”.
All 8mm camera makers, let’s ride this wave.
