2023年7月2日、アナログメディア研究会が主催する上映会に行きました。
今回は5回目で、西川智也氏がキュレーションしたの6作品のフィルム上映とその解説です。
プログラムのテーマは『ジ・オブザーバー』。
スタン・ブラッケージの初期の作品『ワンダー・リング』（1955年）も興味深い作品でしたが、ヴァンサン・グルニエ.の『インテリアてんインテリア：A.Kさんへ』（1978年）は、光の操作や機材の移動、室内の壁の質感を変化させたとても興味深い作品でした。次に何が起きるのか展開が読めない面白さがあります。
また、アメリカの大学の映画学部の学部長を務める、西川氏のアメリカの実験映画の状況やアーカイブの話しなどはとても参考になりました。
次回の「実験映画を観る会」も楽しみにしている。

On July 2, 2023, I went to a screening hosted by the Analog Media Research Group.
This is the 5th installment of the program, featuring 6 film screenings curated by Tomoya Nishikawa and commentary on them.
The theme of the program is “The Observer”.
Stan Brakhage’s early work “The Wonder Ring” (1955) was also interesting, but Vincent Grenier. It was a very interesting work that changed the texture of the wall. It’s interesting that you can’t predict what will happen next.
Also, Mr. Nishikawa, who is the dean of the film department of an American university, was very informative about the state of experimental films in the United States and his talk about film archive facilities.
I’m looking forward to the next “experimental movie viewing party.”
