新しい本『The Single-8 Story』

Jürgen Lossau氏が新しい本の出版を計画しています。

現在、クラウドファンディングにより購入者を募集中。

本は英語版とドイツ語版がある。

2025年春の出版予定（2025年はシングル-8誕生から60周年記念の年である）

目次をみると当時の富士フィルムのシングル-８の歩みを推測することが出来、わくわくしています。

東京オリンピック（1964年）を目標に発売すべく他社を巻き込んでの開発や

コダック社の新規格「Super 8」の突然の発表による衝撃、

幻の8ミリ規格となった「ラピッド-8」についての話しは有名です。

俳優の扇千景さんのTV CMも当時話題になりました。

～などなど話題は尽きません。

Lossau氏と言えば、現在『Super 8 Magazin』誌も出版しており、その編集力の高さには、毎号驚かされている。

どのような本になるのか今からとても楽しみにしている。

New book “The Single-8 Story”

Jürgen Lossau plans to publish a new book.

Currently, he is recruiting buyers through crowdfunding.

The book is available in English and German versions. Scheduled to be published in spring 2025 (2025 is the year of the 60th anniversary of the birth of Single-8)

Looking at the table of contents, I am excited to be able to guess the history of Fuji Film’s Single-8 at the time.

The development that involved other companies to release with the goal of the Tokyo Olympics (1964), the shock of the sudden announcement of Kodak’s new standard “Super 8”, and the phantom 8mm standard “Rapid-8”. The story is famous. Actor Chikage Ogi’s TV commercial also became a hot topic at the time.

Speaking of Mr. Lossau, he also currently publishes “Super 8 Magazin” magazine, and I am amazed by his editorial skills every issue. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the book will be like.
